2008 Annual Report Community Investment Program

In 2009, OppenheimerFunds provided volunteer support to the Stock Market Game in the form of nearly 60 executives in New York and Denver serving as judges for the Stock Market Game InvestWrite competition.

Introduced in 2004, InvestWrite is an innovative, bi-annual national writing competition for elementary, middle and high school students. Continually expanding its reach, the fall 2008/spring 2009 InvestWrite competition experienced a record 10,000 participants, a 13% increase over the prior year.

Directing students to write essays based on real life savings and investment scenarios, the contest has been incredibly successful, with over 82,000 essays nationwide having been judged by teachers at the classroom level since inception.
