Founded by the September 11th Families’ Association, the Tribute WTC Visitor Center was created to house a centralized base of information about 9/11 at the WTC site. Guests are able to learn factual information about the events of September 11th, the identity of the nearly 3,000 people killed in the attacks, the unprecedented rescue and recovery efforts and the tremendous spirit of support and generosity that arose following the attacks. Over 1,000,000 visitors have toured the Center since it’s opening in 2006.
OppenheimerFunds is proud to support the Tribute WTC Visitor Center through a grant that enables the printing and distribution of 1,000,000 promotional brochures throughout New York City. These brochures are intended to raise awareness and help draw people to the Tribute Center so it can remain a source of information and reflection for the many visitors who wish to learn about the important history surrounding the WTC site and 9/11.
To learn more about the Tribute WTC Visitor Center and its mission to unite and support victims of terrorism by incorporating the entire 9/11 community (families, survivors, residents, rescue workers and volunteers), please visit their website at: www.tributewtc.org.
Tribute WTC Visitor Center offers visitors to the World Trade Center site a place where they can connect with people from the September 11th community. Through walking tours, exhibits and programs, the Tribute WTC Visitor Center offers "Person to Person History," linking visitors who want to understand and appreciate these historic events with those who experienced them.
